Conrad Public Library's Book Walk

The Conrad Public Library has its very own book walk! During our Summer Library Program (June-August) our book walk is up and active. In Summer of 2025 the book walk made a location change as it now runs through North Vernon St. through Reunion Park and the Conrad Pool! Each year the books that are put up for the book walk are carefully picked to correlate with the Summer Library theme.

History and Future of the Conrad Public Library Book Walk

In 2021 the Conrad Public Library received $1500 from an American Rescue Plan Grant to create an outdoor Book Walk. These funds covered the cost of supplies including portable signs, sign printing, books, and lamination. The Book Walk debuted in the Summer Library Program (SLP) of 2022.

Now in 2025 we have updated the signage that is in the board that tells you the number sign you are at. We have also changed its location to better fit the expanding that is taking place in Conrad. As we continue to make updates to best serve of patrons through our book walk, we hope to replace our current signs with more permanent, all-season signs! If you are interested in donating, please make any donations out to the Conrad Public Library Foundation. You can stop in the library and drop off a donation or mail it!
